Join us as we do this easy but fun bike ride up Aliso Creek. On the last bike ride we went down Aliso Creek, this time we will go up the creek. This is a casual ride. The planned ride is up Aliso Creek Trail, along Paseo de Valencia, then up Aliso Creek Trail as far as we make it. The very end of the trail is Cook's Corner, but we may turn around before that. A closer turning point could be Saddleback Church. The entire path is blacktop and concrete. Going up we are riding up a gentle incline along the creek. We pass through a number of parks and it is fun riding right next to the streambed. If we go to Cook's Corner it is 13.7 miles and about 1040 feet rise.
We will meet along the street across from The Church of Latter-Day Saints. Parking in the lot is $3 or street parking is available on Awma Road and the LDS Church opens its parking lot. Bring a helmet. Pack a lunch to eat along the ride. I don't know where we will be at lunchtime. The restrooms are open in the nature center next to the parking lot.

Fun riding within socializing distance is our goal. Come enjoy the company of other like-minded riders. Social distancing is the personal discretion of each rider. Please be considerate and stay home if you have any signs of illness or uncomfortable feelings.
This event is hosted by Jack Miller. Please use the Meetup messaging system to communicate with Jack or the participating members. The Meetup platform has a great messaging system so we can interact and discuss parking, lunch, and other issues among all RSVP'd members. Dealing individually with a number of texts and emails is just not viable while commencing and during an event.
By voluntarily attending, you assume the risks of the event and agree to release our organization, the event host, and other participants from claims for any and all injuries or other losses sustained during this event.
